SNOW 3G is a synchronous, word-oriented stream cipher used by the 3GPP standards as confidentiality and integrity algorithms. It first set in long term evolution (LTE) second universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS) networks. The uses 128-bit key 128 bit IV to produce 32-bit ciphertext. paper presents two techniques for performance enhancement. technique novel CLA architecture minimize propagation delay of 2<sup>32</sup> modulo adders. S-box chip area. presented work VHDL language coding. same implemented on FPGA device Virtex xc5vfx100e manufactured Xilinx. achieved maximum frequency 254.9 MHz throughput 7.2235 Gbps.
